So this ones a bit different than your average game. Its Dance Dance Revolution. The once hit game sweeping across teenagers everywhere. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that this game created so many memories for me. Some embarrassing and some just a group of kids hanging out at the mall. I first started to actually try and play DDR to impress a girl. I thought maybe if I was good at it, that it would prove I was willing to excel at it for her. I slowly practiced, and eventually got pretty good. I wont say I was amazing, but I was able to play most songs respectably on Heavy mode. This game could make you sweat, and your stamina was put to the test with every set of songs.

Sometimes I get the urge to bust out the PS2 and play it again. I have to admit, I’m not terrible at it. I have no idea how I was ever able to move my feet so fast in a few songs though. I know I could do it at one point, but its just crazy at the same time. Its not a type of game that you can get better with practice or age. You’ll slowly get worse no matter what you do. Which does make it feel kind of depressing. I’m sure with a little practice, I’m still able to do a lot of my favorite songs and maybe even break a high score or two. Its one of the few games that you have to really get up and do something to play. My hope is that I can share that experience with someone one day and blow their minds.
