I decided I won’t be doing a themed post today. Why? My dad had back surgery a couple days ago, and I have been running around quite a bit the last few days. Today Wasn’t too bad, but I spent a good chunk of the day figuring out some stuff with the website and its tools.
I feel my current layout design is not quite what I need, and am working on figuring out a better way to organize the posts moving forward. I am adding new content in the creative end of things. I won’t spoil it just yet, but I have been working on a few things to add once a week. If I channel the time I regularly use on the themed posts for now (the month of March) I can probably have all that completed and ready far sooner.
This doesn’t mean I won’t have any themed posts, but I’m just gonna pick my very favorite movies. This will make it easier and more engaging to write. Which of course makes it a better read for you! So instead of themed posts that are just to keep me in the swing of updating every day, I will be making more enjoyable stuff. I’m a believer in quality over quantity.
I also will be updating a lot of my YouTube elements here soon. I’m hoping to get back into uploading in the spring. I want to take it a bit more seriously this time, and plan out a couple months in advance. Putting out a video once a week would be my ultimate goal. Whisky will be along for the ride with some of it I’m sure. You’ll get an idea of the content whenever it gets linked. Its pretty rudimentary at the moment, but I’m hoping to up the quality on that end too.
I have so much I want to do in my mind, but I know in order to get it done I have to take it in little bites. Some people will be here for the writings, and I hope they’ll get enjoyment from the video content as well. Some will mainly stick on the video end, and probably won’t stick around too much for the writing. That’s alright.
EK Creates is basically just me creating content of various types. Trying out new mediums, for both success and failure. Right now my viewership is not very high, but I also have done little to share my site until I feel its ready. This is a hobby after-all, but I can see it becoming more. I don’t think I’ll ever be famous, but one day it’d be nice to feel there’s a large group of people who look forward to some EK Creates content, regardless of the platform.
Anyway, I didn’t want to let this get too wordy. Seeing as the movie updates seem to be the least exciting, I will be forgoing a few from time to time to get more going on the back end.
